Local electrical contractor Scholz Electrical has been recognised as one of Australia’s best providers of high quality, safe and environmentally friendly electrical services.

Michael Scholz has achieved national industry accreditation as a Master Electrician – the highest level of professional accreditation for an electrical contractor.

Master Electricians CEO Malcolm Richards said Scholz Electrical should be very proud of its Master Electrician status, as the extensive selection criteria for accreditation ensures that only the finest members of the electrical industry can become Master Electricians.

“To be considered a Master Electrician, electrical contractors must agree to be audited annually for safety and quality, offer their customers a 12-month guarantee on workmanship, and adhere to a strict code of practice,” Mr Richards said.

“Our members must also demonstrate that they have a comprehensive safety management system in place to protect themselves and their customers.”

Mr Richards said that the Master Electricians program was created to help consumers make an educated choice among their local electrical contractors, and to encourage electricians to better meet the needs and safety requirements of their customers.

“Master Electricians take pride in the fact that when customers see our logo they can genuinely know that they have chosen the best. By having Master Electricians in the local community it will also help to raise the bar for other electricians in the area, which is good for everyone,” Mr Richards said.

Michael Scholz said that becoming a Master Electrician was a great personal honour and an opportunity to set Scholz Electrical apart from its competitors.

“Our customers have always trusted us to deliver a high standard of work for them but now the rest of the community can also recognise our commitment to electrical excellence.”

“Scholz Electrical is very proud to be accredited as Master Electricians, and we will work very hard to maintain that status in the years ahead.”

Visit www.masterelectricians.com.au for more information.

With the ease of installation, lack of digging involved and the fact it requires no water, Scholz Electrical is amazed the popularity of Photovoltaic (PV) Solar Systems isn’t greater than it currently is.

We came across a story recently which gives a bit more of an insite into why there hasn’t been as much of a popularity boom as expected.

The article explains the lack of knowledge by the consumer and the lack of support from the government surrounding rebates, incentives and the “feed-in” supply where you get paid for any excess energy that you feed back to the “grid”.

The targets are being implemented to ensure that 20 per cent of Australia’s electricity comes from renewable sources by 2020. The expanded RET increases the current RET by over four times, from 9,500 gigawatt-hours to 45,000 gigawatt-hours in 2020, driving significant investment and accelerating the deployment of a broad range of renewable energy technologies. In ten years time the amount of electricity coming from sources like solar, wind and geothermal will be about equal to all of Australia’s current household electricity use.

It seems change will be inevitable and Scholz Electrical are doing our part to minimise impact on the environment and help save money on your bills.

“Control over a wide range of household appliances could be handed to power distributors so they could switch them off when too much electricity is being used…”After reading this article, we ask you, is this really as terrible as it sounds?Currently, many of your household systems are in fact run on tariffs to lower your overheads and decrease the demand on the power network, including:

Pool pumps

Scholz Electrical are committed to the environmentand feel switching auxilary systems to more efficient tariffs could be a great way to save money AND the environment.
