We will also condemn items we find to be unsound as we feel it is important to live and work within an environment safe from any hidden electrical dangers.
If you are unsure about electrical maintenance or are worried about the efficiency of your appliances. We recommend periodical maintenance of all appliances to ensure they remain in satisfactory running condition.
Scholz Electrical’s test and tag service is carried out in our professional facilities at Seventeen Miles Rocks in Brisbane’s western suburbs where we can cater for most electrical equipment..
We recommend keeping a watchful eye out for the following common problems that may occur around the house:
- Any extension cords which may be frayed, cracked or damaged/fatigued plugs and cords on appliances
- Damaged termination covers
- Overheated three pin plugs and sockets
- Single insulation or exposed wiring
- To Safeguard yourself against the above problems, we recommend the installation of an earth leakage protection device (safety switch) Replace or discard any extension cords which may be frayed, cracked or damaged plugs or cords
